it finally arrived. yes, the blouse i ordered back in july from emersonmade arrived yesterday! i couldn't be more thrilled with the style and fit and will definitely be going back for more.

emersonmade started as a one woman operation in nyc where emerson would sell her flowers, sometimes right off her lapel to girls on the street.

her business has bloomed into a full scale operation where she and her husband continue to build blooms and have launched a clothing line this past august.

this is the blouse i just got!!!
the most exciting news is that several of their latest pieces will be making their way to 1stdibs this monday and will be sold there in limited quantity. you can sign up to receive an email on their website

to top everything off they operate this fabulous little company out of an adorable home on a farm in a little seaside town in new hampshire. sounds just about perfect.

good people doing good things makes me so happy.

emersonmade, originally known for these beautiful hand dyed and handmade flowers, is run by emerson and her husband, ryan, and as mentioned on their website believes in celebrating the uniqueness of the individual, the joy of being alive and all the smallness that makes up the "big beautiful". i like it...
