emeralds and lace

still soaking up all the details from the wedding on friday, i began looking at other lace dresses that i've loved in the past. i came across this wedding again, from oncewed, and thought to myself, "self, could this ensemble almost be the love child between princess kate's gorgeous lacey stunner and miss angelina's earrings?" {remember my post about those green bohemoth emeralds?}

either way, it's very pretty :)

check out the rest of this wedding here.

and again, the earrings here.

a year and a half later....

angelina wore 180 carats from lorraine schwartz to the 2009 oscars.

she certainly topped the best dressed list in my opinion that night. to be quite honest, i was stunned by her emeralds so much so, here i am talking about them a year and a half later!

i have had these photos of her in my files for that long. i thought i would share.

she paired these stunning green beauties with a gorgeous, but subdued black elie saab gown.

a little hit of green for your home can do the same thing these earrings and ring did for her look that night.

(its a whole different story, but i love LOVE campaign style dressers...) painted emerald green they shine and say welcome to mi casa in this entry way.

hang this over a bathtub for the most punch. to be even more like angelina's ensemble-- paint the walls of the bathroom black!

the green paint in this kitchen took it from a cute kitchen, to covet-able.

green in nature signifies life,
maybe that's why i feel it's so powerful, as little as a pair of earrings or as large as a painted room.
