hi there.

i'm still here. and i can't even imagine why you'd still be stopping by... i've been such a bad, bad blogger. but i think this year and i have finally come to terms. i've been feeling so unsettled and a little restless, honestly sitting there waiting for the next shitty thing to come my way because that's how we started out! and it definitely took some time for the 2 of us to reconcile but we made it! and i think we're here on the other side!!!

i can't guarantee that i'll be back every single day, because to be honest, coming up with something earth-shatteringly awesome for you everyday was getting tougher and tougher.

perhaps that means when i am back, it's better stuff!? one can only hope :)

and i thought it was so pretty.

it doesn't even have to be for a little girl.

i'd take this and make it mine!!

the only thing i might add to it is a small dose of saturated color and a few more patterns. i am still me, after all. and maybe some more pink!

i freakin love this room. i only wish there was a different pillow on the chair. could have been sooooo much  better.

i feel like i have decor schizophrenia alot of the times.

i am drawn to alot of differing ideals and colors and styles.

i could go with crazy color just as much as i could go all neutral.

(which has made it difficult at times when it comes to the stuff i want in my own house...)

especially when it comes to kids rooms, i always thought i'd always go the color route.

until i saw the scheme nicole, from me oh my, whipped up for her baby boy.

holy gorgeousness.

the textures, brass accents, fabrics, and pattern, and more brass- had me singing a different tune.

i can't wait to see the end results.

sooo pretty.

there are no babies yet.... but when there is a lil girl to speak of, this one is going to be used for some serious inspiration.

i am loving all the patterns and colors and how easily and beautifully they mix.

i'm back with more from my (future) baby files. i posted all the girly business earlier today and i'm back to offer my findings for all the baby boys.

this is one of the novagratz's nurseries. pure awesome.

more playful taxidermy, which i love. this room is actually my favorite. i love the grown up wall color, rug, and painting for a little tyke, mixed in with some little boy stuff. perfect.

can't go wrong with matching vintage twin beds. even if there is only one child... sleep-overs!

solar system mobile. LOVE.

nautical and american.

big guy furnishings with little guy colors and patterns. oh, and a giant stuffed alligator.


it's nothing new, but stuffed animals subbed in for the real deal is so fun for little boys. i plan on moving dan the moose into a nursery when the occasion arises.

more color, more texture, and the more playful the better.

3 baby girls :)

remember when i briefly mentioned that elle and i were attending a triple baby shower for our 3 friends due within a few weeks of each other?

well, those babies have all arrived and we now have 3 more beautiful, and healthy little girls to spoil.

blue is no longer just for boys. and there is so many creative things happening in children's design. even regular ol people like myself are making the happiest and most stimulating children's rooms!

mix it up. make it bright. add your favorite colors and textures and you can't go wrong in my humble little opinion.
