lizzie carney, of euro trash, chose a small house but with HUGE glam and style appeal.
every wall is painted the same benjamin moore shade, amherst gray... which goes against the "rule" that dark colors make a space look smaller.
(i totally agree with lizzie here. i chose darker colors for my little bungalow too... my dad-- who helped us paint, thought i was nuts at first! he came around when he saw the end results.)
i die for her kitchen. LOVE the peacock. LOVE the vintage turquoise refrigerator (that she bought in a texas flea market!). LOVE the chandelier. i am also loving the art above her stove... very interesting spot.
she turned her basement into a dining room/wine cellar (look at her worn painted concrete floors!)
she used the same pink/gray/turquoise color scheme throughout the house for a little cohesiveness.
especially with the economy and being forced to do more with what you have, this is a splendid example of what you can do with a little creativity and loads of gorgeous things layered to perfection.
