2 random things i wanted to share,

although they have nada to do with each other:

1-- i wish we had smellavision so that you could take a whiff.

my mom's lilac topiary took my breat away.

i could have slept with that tree right beside me last night.

2-- i just changed tea companies for my daily work tea-time routine, because of nothing other than the package.

i don't think some marketing people realize the power of pretty packaging.

shoot, there are people on pinterest with whole boards devoted to it.

this lime and hunter and bright raspberry is as pretty as it gets.

and much to my delight the tea is delicious, too.

dear santa,

1-  miu miu sparkle tennies. also blogged about here. i heart them very, very much.

2-  a bright clutch. this cobalt blue one by clare vivier especially.

3-  remote control for my camera... would get lots-o-use.

4-  record player.

5-  those lamps. period.

6-  a vintage malachite and gold rolex found on overstock. for only $14k... and now i can't find it any longer. darn it... looks like someone grabbed it before i could ;)

so i'll settle for #7.

7-  dior mens watch. gold on gold on gold.

8-  crystal skull vodka for my bar.

9-  mounted african butterfly beauty.

10-  vintage fur coat.

11-  still looking for a christmas miracle... a brass tea kettle.

(this one is a french antique found here. and oh my goodness, it is so charming. exactly like the one i've dreamt up in my head. just not worth the $500 price tag.)

new favorite of the day

it's peppermint tea, people!

now. i'm still relatively new to the tea drinkers club. i told you that one of my resolutions for 2010 was to be more healthy and drink green tea. which i did and it became one of those that actually sticks around. i heart it, i really do. in fact i live for my orange, passion fruit and jasmine green tea (fancy) once or thrice a day.

yesterday. i had another tea. i cheated on my usual and went with the peppermint.

holy tea batman! is it christmas yet?

yum yum yum yum yum yum.

i had this one. first time. i'm a new woman. i hear christmas tunes in the background.

no. i kid. i don't wish christmas to be here because that would mean bypassing my favorite month of the WHOLE YEAR. octubre. (that's october if you're spanish)

lots of things, cool things, happen in october:

leaves change.

weather changes.

pumpkin patches happen.

toasted pumpkin seeds happen!! hip hip hooray for those. 

jill was born.

sweatshirts become socially acceptable. as well as boots.

snuggling with husband and dog in bed.

fires, as in bonfires and in fireplaces.

halloween candy.

and general all around happiness.

so i'll sip my peppermint tea in october and consider myself hap-py.
